Where do you deliver?

Answer

We deliver within Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area including major areas like Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Pickering, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Ajax, Oshawa, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, New Market, and more.

You can also enter your postal code to see if your area is included in the service coverage area. Please contact us if you think you live outside of our coverage area. We might be able to arrange something if it is closer to our coverage area. We are actively working to expand our service area.

When do you deliver?

Answer

We deliver fresh, ready-to-eat meals straight to your door twice a week, every Sunday and Wednesday.

How much is the delivery cost?

Answer

Delivery cost depends on how far you live from our facility. We divided the delivery area into different zones. Your postal code will be used to calculate the delivery charges, and it will be added to your bill at checkout. What happens when I am not home when the delivery arrives?

Answer

If you reside in a house and not home to receive the delivery, our driver will leave the delivery bag in front of your door or some where safe following your instruction. If you are worried of your package been stolen or missing, please ensure you are home to accept the delivery.

If you live in a condominium, we can drop the bag with concierge if your condo management allows it. Please ensure the concierge at your building would accept the delivery on your behalf. We must comply with strict building rules that forbid leaving any baggage or perishable packages outside unit doors for safety and freshness. If access or recipient availability prevents delivery, our drivers have no choice but to return the package to our facility. To prevent missed deliveries, please ensure you are available to receive your package, or that all necessary access arrangements have been communicated to facilitate a seamless drop-off.

In such a situation (failed delivery), any attempt to redeliver the package, whether the same evening or the following day, will incur an additional delivery fee of $15 to cover the extra logistical costs.

Note: You will receive a text message after dropping of your package in your absence. Make sure you provide as with the correct and most updated phone number so that you won’t miss the notification. As we deliver highly perishable items, your timely attention is required for accepting the package. Dopamine Meals will not replace or provide any refunds for packages left unattended by the customer on the delivery day, nor for any related issues reported the following day.

Can I pick up my meals?

Answer

Dopamine Meals operates solely online from an industrial facility, meaning we do not offer a storefront. If you cannot receive your package at the designated address, please contact us via phone or email so we can try to arrange an alternative solution. Please note, however, that accommodation is not guaranteed.

How do you deliver the meals.

Answer

For maximum freshness, your meals are delivered chilled (never frozen) directly from our cooling facility. They are packaged in a reusable thermal bag and secured with ice packs to maintain temperature until arrival.

How to return the ice packs and delivery bag?

Answer

We appreciate returns! Please leave your thermal bag and ice packs outside your door (for houses) or with your concierge (for condominiums) before your next delivery, and we will collect it. Thank you!

What should I do with the plastic containers that my meals come in?

Answer

Our containers are 100% recyclable. Just give them a quick rinse before tossing them into your blue bin.

How do I know that my food is delivered, if I am not there to receive it?

Answer

In your absence, you will receive a text message immediately upon successful drop-off, whether the package is left at your door or with your building's concierge.

Do you deliver to condos?

Answer

For condominium deliveries, we strictly abide by your building’s rules. If your condo permits, our drivers will leave your meals at your door or with the concierge. Please be sure to include a buzzer code to ensure our delivery person can gain access to the building.

Liability Note: If you prefer that the package, be left at your door and it subsequently goes missing or is stolen, Dopamine Meals is not responsible. Please ensure either you or your concierge is available to securely receive the package on the delivery day.

My ice packs were melted upon arrival, is the food safe?

Answer

Thawed ice packs are expected and indicate the packaging is performing correctly to maintain a safe, chilled temperature. We strongly recommend you refrigerate your meals right after receiving them, especially in hot days. Please remember, Dopamine Meals is not responsible for any meals left unattended for more than two hours after delivery.

What should I do if my delivery arrived damaged?

Answer

We’re sorry to hear that your delivery arrived damaged—your satisfaction is our top priority, and we'll do everything we can to make it right!

Here is what you should do:

1. Document the Damage (Crucial)

Take Photos: Please take several clear photos of the damaged meal containers. This helps our team identify the root cause quickly.

Include Details: Note the names and number of the specific meals affected in your order.

2. Report Timely

To confirm the damage occurred during delivery, you are responsible for reporting the issue as soon as possible, or strictly within 4 hours of the package delivery.

3. Contact Us

Reach out to our team immediately via chat—we're here to help!

4. Resolution

Please allow us 1 to 3 business days to evaluate the report and confirm the authenticity of the damage. We will then process a refund based on the intensity of the confirmed damage.

How many people does a meal feed?

Answer

Each meal is perfectly portioned for a single adult and one-time consumption. On average, our meals weigh about 15 ounces, though this can vary based on your chosen meal plan. For easy ordering: 6 meals are typically enough for one person's breakfast, lunch, and dinner over a two-day period.

How long will my meal last?

Answer

Your meals can stay deliciously fresh in the refrigerator for up to 4 to 5 days, provided they are stored immediately upon delivery. This is because we use no chemicals or artificial preservatives. We recommend consuming salads and seafood first to get the maximum freshness. To ensure maximum freshness throughout the week, you can split your deliveries between Sunday and Wednesday.

For the best result, remember to take your frozen meals out and thaw them for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator before warming up.

How to store my meals once received?

Answer

We strongly recommend storing your meals immediately upon receipt. Although your meals come chilled in thermal bags with ice packs, this packaging is designed only for transit and maintains freshness for up to two hours post-delivery. Since these are perishable goods, it is your responsibility to store them in the refrigerator immediately to prevent spoilage. We recommend keeping the meals you plan to consume within the first four days in the fridge and storing the remainder in the freezer.

The best temperature for is 4°C (40°F) or below, while freezer should be set at -18°C (0°F) or below. 

Dopamine Meals does not take responsibility for meals left unattended for more than two hours after delivery, nor for any spoilage or quality issues resulting from improper storage while the meals are in your custody

Can I freeze my meals?

Answer

You may freeze most meals, but do not freeze salads as they will get damaged and the texture will be compromised. For the best result, remember to take your frozen meals out and thaw them for at least 24 hours in the refrigerator before warming up.

How long I can freeze the meals?

Answer

We recommend freezing your meals for up to 3 months. To maintain quality and prevent freezer burn, please ensure the lids are fully closed and tightly sealed before placing them in the freezer.

Are your meals ready to eat?

Answer

All your Dopamine Meals are fully cooked and ready to eat. For safe consumption, you must reheat the meals to the proper temperature. Please ensure you check the reheating instructions for the specific details.

How to reheat my meals?

Answer

When reheating, remove the lid and microwave for 2.5 to 3 minutes, or preheat your oven to 350F, transfer the food to an oven-safe dish, and heat for 15 to 20 minutes (note that heating times vary, so please ensure all food reaches a safe consumption temperature).

Important Safety Note: If using a microwave, please always remove the plastic ramekin with condiments (such as mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, tahini sauce, guacamole, Pico De Gallo or ketchup) before heating.

Note that while cold condiments must be removed, some sauces (e.g., gravy, lemon piccata sauce, tomato sauce, and salsa) are meant to be warmed with the meal. In this case, please remove the sauce from its plastic ramekin, pour it onto the main dish, and then microwave the entire meal.

How many menus you have?

Answer

We currently offer 12 rotating menu options in our Core Meal Plans and 6 options for our Morning Fuel breakfast series. Since we provide two deliveries per week, you can expect our core menu repetition only after a satisfying 6-week cycle (12 items / 2 deliveries = 6 weeks).

We are actively adding more menus to ensure you never get bored! Please note that our Salad Series and Guilt-Free Treats (desserts) will not rotate, meaning they will remain consistent favorites for you to choose from, though we will be continuously adding new options to those series as well.

Can I customize my meal?

Answer

Due to our large-batch cooking process, the portion size and ingredients of our meals are not customizable. If you need to add extra protein to your order, please utilize our Protein Add-On option.

For Allergies & Intolerances: If you have allergies or food intolerances, you must reach out to us first via email at dopaminemeals@gmail.com to confirm if they can be accommodated. While we strive to assist, we do not guarantee any modifications.

You can view the ingredients, macros, and major allergens for any meal by selecting the specific dish on our menu.

Note on Vegetables: While major ingredients and allergens are consistent, the specific vegetables we use may vary based on supplier inventory. We guarantee that only suitable vegetables that perfectly complement the cuisine and dish will be used (e.g., green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, bell peppers, zucchini, eggplant, etc., are commonly featured).

Is your meals gluten free?

Answer

While some of our meals are tagged as gluten-free, not all our offerings meet this standard; you can check it by selecting the dish you are interested and it will be mentioned whether it is gluten free in the meal-tag. It is critical to know that even though some meals are labeled gluten-free, we use all kinds of gluten products in our kitchen. Even though we take maximum preventative measures, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination.

Can I order if I have allergies?

While some meals are clearly tagged (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free), we use all types of major allergens in our kitchen including milk, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, mustard, sesame and sulfites. Even though we take maximum preventative measures, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination.

CRITICAL WARNING: If you have a severe, life-threatening allergy, we strongly advise against ordering from Dopamine Meals.

It is your responsibility to review the ingredient list and meal tags prior to ordering. Refunds will not be processed for allergy-related issues reported after the order cut-off time.

Do you accommodate allergies?

While some meals are clearly tagged (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free), we use all types of major allergens in our kitchen. Even though we take maximum preventative measures, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination. We will not be able to accommodate all allergy requests since we cook in larger batches for all our customers but please contact us regarding your allergies prior to placing your order by:

  • Order Notes: Explicitly mention the allergy/intolerance in the notes section of your order.

It is your responsibility to be mindful of any allergens and check the ingredient list and meal tags of the dishes you select. If an allergen was not listed by you in the order notes OR not communicated with us via email, Dopamine Meals would not be responsible for any potential circumstances in such a situation. It is as much your responsibility as ours to be mindful of all allergens.

Crucial Note: Communicating your allergy to us via email or order notes does not guarantee that we will be able to fulfill or modify your meal to accommodate the request.

Do you use salt in your meals?

We use salt in all our cooking as it is an essential flavor element. If you prefer a lower sodium intake, we suggest you try our High-Octane meal plan, as this specific line contains minimal salt and seasonings.

We do not use any kind of preservatives in our meals.

Are your meats Halal?

Answer

Dopamine Meals is not currently Halal certified by HMA or CHFCA. However, we strictly confirm that we do not sell or use any items that contain pork or are derived from pork products in the preparation of our meals

If you receive an incorrect or missing meal, please email us at dopaminemeals@gmail.com on the day of delivery. Include detailed information and applicable photos. Please allow 1 to 3 business days for our team to investigate and provide a resolution.

Critical Note: If an incorrect meal is consumed and then reported, we will be unable to help correct the issue or provide a replacement/refund.

Taste Satisfaction

We cannot offer refunds simply because a meal was not enjoyed. All our meals are crafted carefully, but taste is subjective. We encourage you to review our wide variety of dishes and cuisines thoroughly before ordering.

Signing up is easy! Simply use your email ID and create a password by pressing the 'Sign Up' button on our homepage. Once your account is set up, you can easily view your current orders, previous purchase history, and manage your subscription details.

What is a subscription?

Answer

Subscription Management Policy

This option is perfect if you would like reoccurring orders and want to avoid visiting the website weekly. Your order will automatically be renewed at every delivery cut-off time. We will send you a notification when the new menu is posted, allowing you to choose your desired food for the next order.

Pausing & Cancellation

You may pause, resume, or cancel your subscription directly from your account. Crucially, any cancellation or pausing must be done before the order cut-off time. Refunds will not be issued once the order has automatically renewed past the cut-off time.

Customer Responsibility

Since this is a recurring service, managing your subscription (such as pausing, resuming, or cancelling) is your duty. Dopamine Meals is not responsible if you forget to cancel before the subscription renewal date or time.

Subscription Order Details & Auto-Selection

Our subscription method helps you save money by ordering in bulk and being a continuous customer. The mandatory minimum order starts at 6 meals, with bundle options available at 6, 12, 18, and option for customized number.

Meal Selection Protocol

We will notify you via email once the new menu is posted, giving you the choice to select your desired meals or leave the selection to us.

Automatic Selection Liability

If you forget to select your meals or choose to leave it to us, we will automatically select meals based on your initial or previous protein selections (e.g., if you previously selected Chicken, Steak, and Salmon, the following deliveries will be based on those proteins but feature varied flavors from the current menu). If you like to choose your own meals, we recommend attending the selection email promptly.

Final Note: Dopamine Meals will not issue a refund for meals you dislike that were automatically selected due to you missing the meal selection cut-off time.

What is the difference between one time order and subscription?

Answer

A One-Time Order is a single order placed for a delivery with a one-time payment. Conversely, a Weekly Subscription is an ongoing order set on auto-payment, offering uninterrupted service until it is manually paused or cancelled by the customer. Meals ordered via the subscription method receive inherent discounts for continuous ordering. Discounts are not often offered on one-time orders, other than the initial sign-up discount and potential non-guaranteed promotional deals during holiday events.

What you mean by delivery twice a week (split delivery)?

Delivery Schedule & Split Delivery

We currently offer delivery two days per week: every Sunday and Wednesday (available for both one-time and subscription orders).

Split Delivery (Twice a Week)

One-time orders and Subscribers are eligible for the Twice a Week (Split Delivery) option, provided you choose a bundle of 12 meals or more.

  • Split Mechanics: Meals are split evenly between the two days (e.g., 6 meals delivered Sunday, the remaining 6 delivered Wednesday).
  • Payment: You will be able to see the individual charges for both deliveries and you will be charged together at checkout.
  • Meal Selection: You can choose the first half of the meals for the first delivery and then you will be able to select the second half of the meal from the next deliveries menu.

Auto-Selection & Liability: After the first and initial deliveries set upped you will receive a notification every time once we post a new menu. If you decide not to select meals your own or if you forgot to select the meals, the system will automatically select meals for you based on your previous or initial meal selections. Dopamine Meals will not take responsibility or issue a refund in this scenario.

How are the discounts on subscription work?

Subscription Discount Tiers

Our subscription meal bundles offer tiered discounts: the more you order, the more you save! Our bundle options start at 6 meals, then 12 meals, 18 meals, and include an option for choosing customized numbers of meals.

Here is an EXAMPLE of our discount structure (the exact rate will be displayed while ordering):

  • 6–11 Meals: 2% discount
  • 12–17 Meals: 5% discount
  • 18+ Meals: 7% discount

Note: These specific percentage numbers are for example only and may vary over time. The exact discount applied will always be displayed during the ordering process.

What if I do not select the meals while in a subscription?

If you are on a subscription and forget to choose your meals for the upcoming delivery, don't worry—we will select them for you. The system will automatically select meals based on your initial or previous protein selections (e.g., if you previously selected Chicken, Steak, and Salmon, the following deliveries will be based on those proteins but feature varied flavors from the current menu).

Recommendation: We send a notification via email once a new menu is uploaded. If you prefer to select your own meals, we strongly recommend attending the selection email promptly to avoid auto-selection.

How do I modify my subscription and delivery preference?

Account & Subscription Management

You can easily manage your subscription and delivery preferences through your account. This includes upgrading or downgrading your meal bundles, selecting meals for the next delivery once the new menu is posted, and changing your delivery preference (Sunday, Wednesday, or Twice a Week/Split Delivery).

Modification Deadline

All changes (including skipping, pausing/resuming, or cancelling the subscription) must be completed before the order cut-off time. If no changes are made, your order will automatically renew based on your previous selections and preferences.

  • Sunday Delivery Cut-off: Thursday 8:00 PM
  • Wednesday Delivery Cut-off: Sunday 8:00 PM

What if I forgot to make changes, pause or cancel my subscription?

Answer

If you forget to make changes, skip, pause, or cancel your subscription before the order cut-off time, the system will automatically generate and process the order based on your initial or previous selections.

ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS will be provided in this scenario, as the order will be processed and the food prepared. As a subscriber, managing your changes (pausing, skipping, cancelling) before the deadline is your sole responsibility. Dopamine Meals is not responsible for and will not issue a refund if you miss the cut-off time.

How to cancel my subscription?

You can always cancel your subscription directly through your account. To avoid being charged by the automatic reoccurring order, you must ensure the cancellation is processed before the order cut-off time.

How do I place an order?

Answer

Placing an order is a straightforward process designed for maximum flexibility:

1. Create Your Account

You will first need to create an account using your email ID and a password by pressing the 'Sign Up' button on the homepage.

2. Choose Order Type

Select one of the two ways to order:

  • One-Time Order: A single order with a single payment.
  • Weekly Subscription: An ongoing, auto-payment order that provides uninterrupted service until you manually pause or cancel.

3. Select Meal Bundle

Choose your desired quantity. Both order types offer bundles of 6, 12, 18 meals, and customized numbers but if you choose a Split delivery option or delivery Twice a week a minimum order of 12 meals is required for both type of orders.

4. Set Delivery Preference

Select your preferred delivery schedule:

  • Single Delivery: Every Sunday OR Every Wednesday.
  • Split Delivery (Twice a Week): If chosen, your meal bundle will be equally split between the Sunday and Wednesday deliveries. Minimum of 12 meals required.

5. Select Your Meals

Choose your favorites from our diverse menu categories, including:

  • Core Plans: High-Octane, Chef’s Reserve, Keto-Optimized, Body Sculpt, The Caveman, and Plant Powered.

Can I make changes to my order?

Answer

All modifications—including choosing different meals, changing your delivery preference, or updating payment options for both One-Time Orders and Weekly Subscriptions—must be completed before the order cut-off time set for each delivery.

  • Note: Especially for weekly subscriptions, the system automatically places and processes your order after the cut-off time, making any changes impossible.

What is the minimum order I can place?

Answer

The minimum order for both One-Time Orders and Weekly Subscriptions is 6 meals. However, if you choose the Twice a Week (Split Delivery) option, a minimum order of 12 meals is required.

What is the cut-off time for placing an order?

Answer

The order cut-off times are applicable for both One-Time Orders and Weekly Subscriptions:

  • Sunday Delivery Cut-off: By Thursday 8:00 PM
  • Wednesday Delivery Cut-off: By Sunday 8:00 PM

Do I have to order before every delivery?

Answer

If you prefer a One-Time Order, you must place the order manually before each order cut-off time set for both delivery days.

If you prefer a Weekly Subscription, the system will automatically place the order for you based on your initial or previous meal and delivery preferences.

Manual Meal Selection: If you wish to manually choose your meals once the new menu is posted, you must select them after receiving the email notification. It is your sole responsibility to choose your meals if you decide to select them yourself. We recommend checking both your email inbox and junk folder for the menu notification.

What happens if I have an issue with my order?

Answer

If you have any issues with orders like receiving an incorrect, missing meal, damaged meals or any other issues regarding orders please notify us immediately on the day of delivery by emailing dopaminemeals@gmail.com. Include all available information and applicable photos of your package. Please allow us 1–3 business days to investigate and provide a resolution.

Critical Note: We cannot assist you or refund you if the incorrect meal was consumed and then reported to us or we do not issue refunds based on subjective taste. We encourage customers to review the diverse menu thoroughly before ordering.
